TNCC application
Trauma Nursing Core Course

TNCC provides you with cognitive, core-level trauma knowledge and psychomotor skills experience in an interactive format. The TNCC course will provide a systematic standardized approach to injured patient care. The hands-on psychomotor skill stations help you incorporate cognitive knowledge into application of skills in a safe practice environment.     Highlights Include:

• Systematic standardized approach utilizing the A-I mnemonic     • Pediatric, pregnancy and elder trauma  • Initial assessment and shock         • Spinal immobilization

• Chest and abdominal trauma  • Opportunity to earn 14.42 contact hours • Offers four year verification of your knowledge and skills upon successful completion

Class size is limited to 16 participants.  You will receive conformation, textbook and specific class information including directions upon receipt of the application and payment.  Please request your time off and clear with your scheduler prior to sending your application.  You must attend both days of class.  A $25.00 late fee will be added to the cost of the course if your registration and payment are not received 30 days prior to class..  This late fee is non-reimbursable.

ENPC application
Nursing Pediatric Course

ENPC is designed to help you learn core-level pediatric knowledge and the
psychomotor skills needed to positively affect patient outcomes in emergency
departments. It presents a systematic assessment model; integrates associated
anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology; and identifies appropriate interventions.

Highlights Include:

• Performing a systematic triage assessment
• Identifying subtle changes that indicate a worsening condition in a pediatric patient
• Cultural considerations
• Pain management
• Techniques for interacting with the child and family
• Meets 12 of the 13 clinical and professional competencies as specified in the Joint Policy

Statement – Guidelines for Care of Children in the Emergency Department Appendix*
• Utilizes evidence-based information for nurses providing emergency pediatric care
• Offers a four year verification of your knowledge and skills upon successful completion
• Opportunity to earn 15.33 contact hours
